"Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions,

and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you."

Luke 10:19

Whether you realize it or not, you are in a spiritual battle. The conflict is in the unseen realm and your opponent is invisible. Nonetheless, your clash with this invisible foe is very real. Often the effects of this battle are quite visible. As a matter of fact, the very symptoms you see and feel in your body may appear physical, but the origin is likely spiritual. Acts 10:38 calls sickness and disease an oppression of the devil. Fear not though, you have been empowered with authority, to have the victory in this battle through Jesus Christ. The truth is He has already won the ensuing battle through His death, burial, and resurrection. Now it's your responsibility to stand your ground, use your authority and run the devil off.

Originally, God gave Adam dominion, or authority, over the earth. (Genesis 1:27,28) Adam was the god of this world. Subsequently, through disobedience, Adam sold out to Satan, who then became the god of this world. (2 Corinthians 4:4) In the New Testament we see that Jesus came to the earth as a man to take back the authority Satan had stolen from Adam. Jesus destroyed the works of the devil and dethroned principalities and powers. (1 John 3:8/Colossians 1:12) He stripped Satan of all authority over man.

Following the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, He conferred His authority to the Church. (Matthew 28:18,19) Before His ascension into heaven, Jesus delegated this authority to all believers. That means you and me! We have been given authority to command sickness or disease to leave our bodies and to stop tormenting us. Although you may not feel it, you have authority over all the power of the enemy - that includes every sickness and disease. (Luke 10:19) The enemy is a defeated foe; he cannot harm you! Greater is He in you than he who is in the world. (1 John 4:4)

You have the authority, in the Name of Jesus, through the power of the Holy Spirit to run Satan out of your life. You must do this; it does you no good to ask God to do it! You are to "give no place to the devil." (Ephesians 4:27) It's up to you to exercise your authority. God will not do it for you. You are to step out in faith and be strong in the Lord and the power of His might! (Ephesians 6:1) Jesus won the battle over sin, sickness, fear, defeat, poverty and all the works of the devil. Now it's your responsibility as a New Creation in Christ Jesus to uphold and enforce what He accomplished for you!

DAILY DECLARATION

No longer will I allow the enemy to reign in my life. Jesus Christ defeated the devil and I determine to uphold that defeat in my life. I will exercise my authority over the devil. Now, get out of here devil; get off my body in the Name of Jesus Christ. It is written: I have been healed by the stripes of Jesus Christ. (1 Peter 2:24) So, go now; get out! I declare that I am more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus
