As a born-again child of God, you have inherited a rich spiritual legacy through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Your inheritance includes a variety of gifts ~ health, healing, restoration, victory, preservation, prosperity, forgiveness, joy, peace. These gifts are ordained for you and are not earned or achieved. However, many believers view healing as a promise rather than their God-given birthright. The purpose of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ was not only to save us and bring us into relationship with our heavenly Father, but includes an inheritance given by grace and received by faith.
As heirs of God and joint heirs with Jesus Christ, we must have a certain boldness to access and possess our inheritance. We have a spiritual heritage that is rightfully ours. Healing is a part of the inheritance we have received through Christ and is scripturally supported by Isaiah 53:4-5, Matthew 8:17 and 1 Peter 2:24. You, as a daughter of the Most High God, have every right to live free of sickness and disease.
Despite this truth, many believers are hesitant to partake of what rightfully belongs to them. Why are we as born-again believers reluctant to claim what belongs to them? In the natural, if you had an inheritance, you'd have to claim it in order to receive it. It is the same in the spiritual. You must claim your legal right to health and wholeness through faith. You must believe it's yours, that it belongs to you and go after it. Jesus paid the price for your healing two thousand years ago by the stripes that were laid on His back.
Unfortunately, many of us are held captive by the lies of the enemy and teachings of well-intentioned preachers and acquaintances. We are told that healing is not for us today, that it passed away with the apostles, that it's not always God's will to heal, that God is trying to teach us something, that it's our thorn in the flesh, or simply that God heals randomly as He sees fit. Lies, lies, and more lies. These supposed doctrines cannot be validated through scripture, and we remain in bondage because of our lack of knowledge of the truth. (Hosea 4:6)
Stop begging God to heal you! Cease striving to earn your healing! Claim your rightful inheritance as a co-heir of Jesus Christ. Healing belongs to you as a gift given to be received by grace through faith. Determine to learn the truth, and the truth will set you free to be healed and made whole!
DAILY DECLARATION
I am empowered by the truth that healing belongs to me. It is my God-given inheritance and I refuse to allow the lies of the enemy to deceive me any longer. Today, as a beneficiary, I claim my inheritance by faith. With the help of the Holy Spirit, I will stand on the truth of God's Word until I possess what belongs to me!
