“Be it unto me according to thy Word."
Luke 1:38
Ask any health professional if it is possible for a virgin woman to conceive a child without having known a man and you can be sure they would say it was impossible. Yet, when Mary was told by the angel Gabriel that she would conceive a child, she replied: "Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Be it unto me according to thy Word." Not doubting the angel's word, but wondering how it would happen, the angel told her that "the Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you..." (Luke 1:35)
So young, so innocent, yet so full of faith ~ she had no doubt that what the angel had told her would come to be. Scripture goes on to tell us that "For with God nothing will be impossible." (Luke 1:37) Are you facing an impossible situation right now in your health? Although you may have been told by man that's it's an impossible situation ~ don't lose hope; for ALL things are possible with God.
Jesus, who is the same yesterday, today and forever, never considered any situation impossible. Epilepsy, crippled, lame, blind, deaf - none of these conditions prevented the power of the Holy Spirit to come upon the individual and restore them to health. No matter if a doctor has used the term 'incurable,' refuse to accept that as the final authority. Choose today to believe, like Mary, for the impossible. Whatever you believe becomes your reality, even if it's not true. (Proverbs 23:7)
You can choose to believe in your heart your circumstances, or you can choose to believe God. Luke 1:45 declares: "Blessed is she who believed, for there will be a fulfillment of those things which were told her from the Lord." Let God's Word be the final authority in your life ~ no matter what!
DAILY DECLARATION
Today, no matter what I'm facing ~ however impossible it may seem; I choose to believe God's Word. I refuse to be swayed by symptoms, doctors’ reports, lab tests or the experience of others. I will stand in faith on God's Word alone, which supersedes my feelings, emotions, and human reasoning. Thank You, Father, that your Word is the final authority in my life.
